Miriam Stark
Miriam Stark received her  Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1993.  Her archaeological and ethnographic experience spans most of the globe, including the Near East and North America.  She was a student of William Longacre, and her research has been influenced by his teachings.  Her current research takes place in Cambodia and focuses on earl state formation.  She has also extensively studied the anthropology of technology through her ceramic research in the American Southwest and the Philippines.  She currently is a Professor of Anthropology, specializing in Southeastern Asia, at the University of Hawai’i-Manoa.
